There was a remarkable cycling race pile-up at a race in Brooklyn this weekend.
The incident occurred when the motor-paced motorcyclist, who was supposed to ride ahead of the field, found his bike stalling at one of the narrowest parts of the race. Unable to restart his vehicle, the biker began flashing his lights to warn the trailing pack of racers.
This tactic worked surprisingly well at first, with several cyclists noting his warning before managing to cycle safely around the stationary object in the middle of the road.
However, the rest weren’t as fortunate, and as soon as one collided with the bike, a heap of his competitors followed.

We know what you’re thinking: is it ok to laugh at what is one of the most ridiculous-looking cycling race pile-ups in recent memory?
A few of the cyclists were taken to hospital, but no one suffered life-threatening injuries, so we’ll let you decide the moral implications of laughing at the crash. Maybe check out this POV footage of the crash before you arrive at your decision though.
