What else did he expect?
As you may know, West Ham’s final game at Upton Park was delayed after Man United had some “difficulty” travelling through the streets of East London. The coach that was carrying Louis Van Gaal and his players was pelted with missiles and objects hurled from West Ham fans, resulting in a delayed kick-off time of 8:30pm.
West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan was speaking with Sky Sports and blamed the visitors for the delay, stating:
“I’m gravely disappointed, more for our supporters. What people forget is they’ve got trains and buses to get home and we’ve got a wonderful, wonderful show after the game for them. Many just can’t stay any more.
“Man United should have got here at 4pm. They know it’s our last game. They had the same problem at Tottenham a few weeks ago. I think the police and officials have been kind. I’d make them kick-off at 7.45pm if I was in charge.”
Naturally, lots of people were quick to point out a few gaping holes in his argument.
West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan: "If you check the coach there won't be any damage to it." May need to revisit that one David.

David Sullivan's comments about police being "too kind" to United by delaying the kick off are ludicrous and reflect very badly his club.

David Sullivan saying Man United should have got there for 4pm, and worrying about his after match show, is beyond parody.

Erm, is David Sullivan going to be asked about #mufc coach being attacked by #whufc fans while being interviewed live?…

David Sullivan talks an incredible amount of bollocks. Utd should arrive 4 hours before kick off. How about your fans dont attack the bus?!

I don't blame David Sullivan for playing it down tonight, he'll be drafting an apology in the morning.

David Sullivan is clearly out of his mind saying the coach wasn't attacked and Man U should have got there at 4pm pic.twitter.com/9X0OPgJBDE
