Fantasy football managers still have time for one last injury meltdown

Tom Victor

First of all, if you’re still paying attention to your fantasy football team then well done.

Most of us either gave up in September, gave up at Christmas, or never bothered to begin with because we knew we’d just give up in September or at Christmas.

But for the brave few who have stuck it out until the end, there have been a few players most people have relied on.

Managers went into meltdown back in November when Dimitri Payet picked up an ankle injury against Everton, but the West Ham man has been in fine form since his return.

So it has been particularly gutting to learn that the Frenchman is an injury doubt for the final game of the season.

West Ham fans aren’t too pleased either, in fairness, with three points needed from the trip to Stoke to guarantee a top six finish.
