Some things transcend sporting rivalry and demand a bit of perspective.
Manchester City may have just secured a Champions League spot after sharing the points with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium, but that wasn’t the only thing on Joe Hart’s mind after the game.
Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium was evacuated, and their game with Bournemouth abandoned, after a ‘suspect package’ was discovered in the ground. The package was later destroyed in a controlled explosion.
Latest update: A controlled explosion has just been carried out within the stadium by bomb disposal experts at Old Trafford. More to follow.

Hart was speaking to Sky Sports immediately following City’s game and he seemed genuinely concerned about the goings on at Old Trafford, requesting clarification that everyone was safe and well.
“I actually saw it on this TV here, and I just saw that Old Trafford was empty as we walked out [for the start of the game versus Swansea],” explained the England man, before asking “But I don’t know – is everyone okay or…?”
Hart was assured that everyone was indeed fine and that it was a precaution due to the suspicious discovery. Thankfully, the chat could then move onto the somewhat less serious topic of football.
