But if a recent story from Spain is to be believed, the Real Madrid star is anything but a sore loser.
Having missed out on another La Liga title for sixth time in the seven years he’s been in Spain, Ronaldo was once again subjected to watching Barcelona seal another league title.
But it seems Ronnie has learned one or two things about being gracious in defeat, with a report by Spanish news outlet Sport  claiming he was quick to send Neymar a congratulatory WhatsApp message in the immediate aftermath of Barca’s title triumph.
Having been dumped out of the Copa Del Rey thanks to a high-profile Rafa Benitez blunder earlier in the season, Ronaldo has one final hope of silverware this season, with Atletico Madrid facing Real in the Champions League final in Milan next week.
As for Neymar, he and his Barca teammates also have the opportunity to add to their La Liga title this weekend. They face Liverpool’s Europa League conquerors Sevilla in the Spanish cup final.
