You look nothing like your former self, Jon Snow.
We can sometimes forget that our favourite characters on screen are, in fact, played by real people who have their own lives outside of the actions of whatever character they appear as on on our TVs.
Like a lot of men in Westeros, particularly in the north, Jon Snow’s look in Game of Thrones would be best characterised as ‘rugged’.
It can get bloody cold up around the wall and most men of the Night’s Watch wouldn’t chop much hair off their heads or faces in order to keep as warm as they possibly can.
With seasons six of the show still on our screens, the man who plays Jon Snow, Kit Harington, doesn’t have to worry about getting in character for a while and has shaved off the distinctive beard that many fans have come to know and love.
Harington was pictured posing for pictures with fans this week in London, where he’s appearing in the play Doctor Faustus, and it’s safe to say that if he has ventured out for one or two post-performance beers, he’s probably been asked for ID…

He has got the perfect look if he fancies starting a mid-90s era grunge band, mind.
