Here’s how the ‘Game Of Thrones’ cast want the series to end

We'll put these suggestions on the 'maybe' pile

Paul Moore

There’s countless theories about how people think Game Of Thrones is going to end.

Will Daenerys finally harness the power of her dragons and take the Iron Throne? Can Jon Snow and Sansa take back The North from Ramsay Bolton and ultimately exact revenge on the Lannisters? Will the Night’s King bring down The Wall and spread The Long Night into the Seven Kingdoms?

These questions pale in comparison though to the one that we all want answered: when is George R.R. Martin finally going to bloody publish The Winds of Winter?!

While we’re all speculating about whose bum will end up sitting on the most painful throne imaginable, Entertainment Weekly managed to grab a few members of the cast and get their views on how they think the show might end.

Emilia Clarke’s version is a bit far-fetched, but we’ll go along with it, because she’s such a legend. You can watch the tongue-in-cheek video here:

If you can’t be bothered watching, here’s what they had to say:

Emilia Clarke [Daenerys]: “I get to Westeros riding on the back of my dragon, and we hang a right past Hollywood and we pick up a few beautiful men to ride on the dragon with me. Then we pick up the throne, and take that throne, and me and the beautiful men take it to the Caribbean. And we plant that throne in the Caribbean, and just chill out.”

Sophie Turner [Sansa]: “I feel like Sansa would want her and Littlefinger to end up on the throne with him as Hand Of The King, and Sansa on the throne, and reunited with her whole family, even the dead ones.”

Maisie Williams [Arya]: “Listen, the nasty characters have been really great for story arcs, but it’s time to ditch them and let Arya rise to the top.”

Natalie Dormer [Margaery]: “Margaery would like the first queen on the throne to be Rose Baratheon, First Of Her Name, who would be the daughter of Tommen and herself.”

Lena Headey [Cersei]: “Cersei would kidnap the red priestess, she would resurrect all her dead children, and they’d all rule happily ever after.”

Gwendoline Christie [Brienne]: “There needs to be a huge convergence of characters on the Iron Throne. I think Daenerys is groping for the throne, she’s moving towards it, she’s almost on there. Literally every single character has been killed on her way up there, then her dragons turn on her and incinerates her and the whole of Westeros is returned to an Eden-like state and has to regenerate.”
