Romelu Lukaku scores the most Romelu Lukaku goal of all-time in final Euro 2016 warm up

The finish is as good as the first touch is bad

Romelu Lukaku is a player who divides opinion.

The Belgian striker has all the raw materials to become one of the world’s deadliest strikers, but at this stage in his career he lacks the consistency to be considered truly elite.

The former Chelsea man has impressed and frustrated in equal measure since joining Everton three seasons ago, originally on loan.

Lukaku has made no secret of his desire to play Champions League football, fuelling speculation that he could be set to depart from Goodison Park this summer.

And any managers who are considering making a move for the forward caught a glimpse of just what he can do when Belgium took on Norway on Sunday.

Lukaku opened the scoring for the Red Devils with a powerful strike in just the third minute of the game, but his control (or lack thereof) in the lead up to the goal left a lot to be desired.

It was a rare case of a player summing up his career perfectly in one passage of play.

As Lukaku receives the ball, he has acres of space to run into a force a one-on-one with the keeper, before a poor first touch appears to have killed the move. But Lukaku being Lukaku, he powers on ahead and smashes the ball past the keeper to put his team in front.
