Watch the moment Spain’s Alvaro Morata took out a linesman

Still think he'd do well in the Premier League mind.

Spain might not have done the best job of picking their targets at Euro 2016.

Vicente Del Bosque has left the likes of Diego Costa and Paco Alcacer out of his squad, leaving clear air ahead for Alvaro Morata.

The Juventus frontman started up front – with support from Nolito and David Silva – after hitting double figures for the Italian champions this season.

But his first act of note at the tournament was to completely wipe out the referee’s assistant early in La Roja‘s opener against the Czech Republic,

Just 10 minutes were on the clock when the former Real Madrid man went clattering into the Polish linesman.

Thankfully Morata didn’t do too much damage, and the official was able to shake it off.

Still, two feet. Out of control. Nowhere near the ball. It probably wasn’t the frontman’s finest moment. Less of that from open play, if that’s okay Alvaro.

Del Bosque will hope Morata has more control over his feet if and when he gets the chance to take a shot on goal, as the Spaniards look to overtake group leaders Croatia.

A win by any scoreline other than 1-0 would see the reigning European champions move to the summit of Group D.
