What had the potential to be the most draw-out transfer saga of the summer has finally come to an end.
Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has finally made a decision on his future and will stay with Premier League champions Leicester rather than take the step down to runners-up Arsenal for the upcoming season.
The Gunners started the transfer season all guns blazing as they met Vardy’s £20m release fee but after a few weeks of contemplation, the former Stocksbridge Park Steels man turned them down.
And of course, fans saw it as a perfect opportunity to mock Arsenal once more.
