Many expected Euro 2016 to be the tournament that confirmed that Paul Pogba was one of the greatest players on the planet.
A few weeks in and we’re yet to see what all the fuss is about.
Having failed to impress in the group stages, Pogba made a disastrous start to France’s last 16 match against Ireland in Lyon.
Barely 60 seconds were on the clock when the Juventus man clattered into the back of Shane Long in his own box, leaving the referee with little choice but to award the Irish a penalty – converted by Robbie Brady.
For a player that is reportedly on the cusp of being the most expensive player in the history of the game, people were once again left wondering if he was worthy of the hype.
