Furious Rio Ferdinand blames England’s terrible Euro 2016 on one thing

The inquests begin

Same old bloody England.

There is no hiding from the fact that Roy Hodgson’s side have been utterly woeful.

A below-par Euro 2016 in which England scraped through the group stages culminated in one of the worst results in the country’s proud footballing history.

And that’s saying a fucking lot.

England were outplayed, outrun and outfoxed by European footballing minnows Iceland who have a population the same size as Leicester.

The tiny island nation were simply better organised and more well-drilled than England with their embarrassment of footballing talent.

But former England captain Rio Ferdinand said we should have seen this latest and greatest debacle coming a mile off.

Despite Hodgson’s side’s 100 per cent record in qualifying, he came into the tournament without a nailed on, best starting XI.

Ferdinand wasn’t the only one, and many fans were sticking the boot in on England’s tactics throughout the tournament…
