The weird and wonderful world of Coronation Street in particular keeps us guessing, with old and new cast members leaving and returning at the drop of a hat.
One character that is set to depart the show is guaranteed to leave hairdresser Maria Connor knocked for six.
According to Digital Spy, Maria’s beloved Labrador Ozzy is going to be killed off.
Ozzy, who was given to Maria by her deceased husband Liam nine years ago, is said to be killed off in the next few weeks.
Actress Samia told of how sad the scenes are set to be:
“It’s been great fun filming, but this week I’ve been recording some of THE saddest scenes I’ve ever done in my 17 years at Corrie.
“When I first read the scripts I was in tears so getting to film them has just sent me off. You may need your tissues when they air.”
Considering the sad scenes that the death of Chesney Battersby’s Great Dane Schmeichel entailed in 2011, we’re sure there’s not going to be a dry eye in the house.
