The arrival of a new manager can often be a chance for forgotten players to earn themselves another chance.
Nani was on the way out at Manchester United when David Moyes came in and handed him a new and lucrative *five year* contract (!), while Antonio Valencia already looks like enjoying a career resurgence at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho.
It doesn’t always work that way, though, as we are starting to see with Oumar Niasse.

The Senegalese striker was signed by former Everton boss Roberto Martinez in January for a reported £13.5m but played just seven games for the Toffees (five of those from the bench) and failed to find the net in any of them.
Martinez lost his job in May, and Niasse might have seen the arrival of new manager Ronald Koeman as an opportunity for a fresh start.
Sadly for the 26-year-old, Koeman does not agree.
“It will be very difficult for [Niasse and Aiden McGeady] to be part of the team because we have a big squad,” Koeman told the media ahead of Everton’s Premier League trip to West Bromwich Albion, before responding bluntly when asked directly about Niasse’s future.
“If he likes to play football then he needs to leave Everton,” the Dutchman explained.
