Joe Hart granted permission by FA to have medical with Torino

Finally, Joe Hart’s future seems a little clearer.

Since Pep Guardiola’s first day at the club, it’s been obvious enough that the England international wouldn’t be Manchester City’s first choice goalkeeper this season. In recent weeks, it’s been widely expected that the 29-year-old will be playing his football elsewhere.

Now, with a few days remaining of the transfer window, we know where Hart will be plying his trade for the next few months.

The BBC report that Hart, currently on duty with England, has been given permission to leave the England camp to complete a loan move to Italian club, Torino.

Only last week, it had appeared that Everton were interested in signing him, only for Ronald Koeman to decide against the move.

City are said to be continuing to pay part of Hart’s wage as he joins the Serie A club for the season, although it isn’t known how much they will be contributing.

Hart is yet to make an appearance for City in the Premier League this season, with Guardiola opting to field Willy Caballero instead. City, who face Manchester United at Old Trafford after the international break, also completed the signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona last week.
