Liverpool have finally announced the signing of Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke.
The 24-year-old is the Anfield club’s seventh signing of the summer, and joins other high-profile recruits James Milner, Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings.

The Reds triggered the player’s £32.5m buy-out clause to secure the deal, and the player seemed chuffed to bits.
“I’m very happy to be here. I came here to win trophies. I came here to reach some great goals with the team,” said Benteke.
“It was the right club for me because I had a good chat with the manager and I wanted to be part of his project.”
