Amir Khan just won’t give up on his challenge to Conor McGregor.
The former WBA light-welterweight champion has been dogged in his chase of a big-money, cross-sport clash with McGregor and just when the talk quietens down, Khan pipes right back up again.

We assume the phone never rang as Khan has brought it up again, this time claiming that he’d prefer to test the pugilism skills of ‘The Notorious’ in the boxing ring before they give mixed martial arts a go.

Khan claimed UFC training (he meant MMA) had begun in July but maybe his jitz hasn’t progressed as quickly as he’d hoped as now he seems to be more keen on a boxing match than an MMA bout, although he has not closed the door on the latter.
“I don’t really know about moving to MMA,” Khan told World Boxing News. “I mean, if the fight comes up I would consider it as Conor is an unbelievable fighter. I’d love to test him in the boxing ring first as MMA will take a long time to get used to.
“Just the thought of getting the boxing world and MMA world together makes we want to do it even more as it will be massive!”
