Clearly the person running the official Bayer Leverkusen Twitter account have never heard the phrase – do they even have it in German? They must do, they always have a phrase in German.
A phrase they certainly do have in German is schadenfreude – something Spurs fans who saw Leverkusen’s tweets will no doubt be experiencing right now.
The German side raced into a two goal lead in their Champions League match tonight against CSKA Moscow, and took great delight in reminding their Group E opponents Tottenham, who were 2-0 down at home to Monaco.
Ha ha ha ha.

Elsewhere, Manchester City are off to a great 2-0 start against Borussia Monchengladbach in their match which was postponed from yesterday because of heavy rain.
Leicester are also off to a flier in their Champions League debut and are currently 2-0 up at Club Brugge thanks to a Marc Albrighton opener and a Riyad Mahrez free kick.
