Bethe Correia appears to have learned absolutely nothing after being KO’d by Ronda Rousey

JOE

We’re not too sure if Bethe Correia is still feeling the effects of Saturday night’s knockout or if she really believes that she’s better than Ronda Rousey.

The Brazilian suffered her first career defeat last weekend when UFC women’s bantamweight champion Rousey brutally knocked her out in just 34 seconds.

But that has surprisingly done nothing to dent Correia’s confidence that she could beat Rowdy in a rematch as early as next year.

“I promise I will fight for the belt next year,” she told Combate. “In 2016, I want to write a different story. I want, above all things, to be respected. I want a triumphant return. I won’t accept ending 2016 without a UFC belt on my waist. Everything I want, I get. That will be my battle.”

Correia will need to put together another victory or two before she is even considered for another shot at the 135 lbs as she has dropped to eighth in the updated UFC rankings.

“If she [Rousey] still has the belt next year, I will meet her again. I will get that belt. I think Ronda will be dethroned and I hope I get to do it. Everybody loses at one point.”

Who in their right mind would want to fight someone who needed just 34 seconds to rob them of their consciousness? Bethe Correia, that’s who.
