If Manchester City end Pep Guardiola’s first season at the club with silverware, we can safely assume that Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne will have played major parts in securing it.
Although both players have impressed in the season’s early weeks, the Manchester Evening News have pointed out that the pair ‘clearly had a disagreement’ with each other after De Bruyne caught Aguero in a training session ahead of City’s Champions League meeting with Borussia Mönchengladbach on Wednesday night.
The Belgian appeared to stand on the Argentinian’s foot as he attempted to tackle his teammate. As a result, Aguero hit the deck, remaining on the floor for a few seconds. After gingerly clambering back to his feet, Aguero resumes the training session before having a word with the Belgian.
It’s not exactly on Berkovic-Hartson levels of training ground clash, but the footage below (also from the Manchester Evening News) is almost certainly enough to lead some people to report it as a ‘training ground bust up’ in the next few hours.
We’re sure they’ll get over it…
Both players are expected to start on Wednesday night, where a draw for City would be enough to all but seal their place in the Champions League knockout stages.
