Khawla Ibraheem is a Syrian-Palestinian writer, director and performer from Israeli-occupied, annexed Golan Heights.

The one-woman-show follows Mariam, played by Ibraheem, a young mother training to survive an Israeli bombing in Gaza.
The 85-minute show, named after the Israeli military’s practice of ‘roof knocking’ – in which residents are notified by a warning bomb that they have just five to 15 minutes to evacuate before a larger missile flattens their homes – first opened at New York Theatre Workshop before transferring to the Royal Court Theatre.
The poignant show is directed and developed by Obie Award winner Oliver Butler (What the Constitution Means to Me).
