And the nominees are…
The nominations for this year’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards have been announced, both for Best Newcomer and the prestigious Best Comedy Show gong. There is a £10,000 prize for the best show, whilst the best newcomer walks away with £5,000.
Last year was the first time in the history of the festival that the top comedy award was shared between two acts, when Hannah Gadsby and John Robins were each granted the honour. Last year’s top newcomer was Natalie Palamides.
