A senior Chinese Epidemiologist, or disease expert for those of you slacking on your science jargon, has said that the US should be front and centre for the next stage of the Covid investigations. A study has shown that the virus could have been on US soil as early as December 2019.
The US National Institutes of Health have published a study that shows seven people across five states were infected weeks before the US reported its first official cases.
Thanks to the World Health Organisation, the general consensus is that Covid originated through the animal trade, with the virus passing from bats to an intermediary species and then later humans.
But there is still speculation around the origin of the virus. Some of these are based on science, while others are merely conspiracy theories. Beijing has suggested that the virus entered the country through contaminated frozen food, while others suggest that it was laboratory born.
Supposed smoking gun is "There's a coronavirus lab in Wuhan and that's where it all started!" but that's not where it started, we still don't know where it started. Wuhan's just where they first identified it, probably cause they have a lab dedicated to researching coronaviruses.

The Chinese government has faced criticism over their lack of transparency and their apprehension in releasing data acquired by the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Zeng Guang, the chief viral scientist at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, told national media that the focus should be on the US.
“All bio-weapons related subjects that the country has should be subject to scrutiny,” he was quoted.
As a game of “who did it” continues, the global relief effort continues the fight on the front lines. Whether it be America or China that are responsible, hell, even if it is Darth Vader himself, the truth will eventually be brought to light.
