How does the UK response compare to others?
Coronavirus has spread from China and across the world – but not every nation has responded to the disease in the same way.
China and Italy have seen authoritarian lockdowns imposed, the United Kingdom slightly less so, and in the United States the president Donald Trump has suggested that injecting disinfectant into your skin could combat the disease (it can’t), as well as egging on protesters demanding that governors reverse lockdown measures.
We spoke to people living in each nation to find out how the virus has affected their lives, and what they think of the UK’s approach to the pandemic.
