More than 200 NHS staff have died from coronavirus
From the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the matter of personal protective equipment (PPE) has been a source of criticism for the government.
Despite warning of the threat of Covid-19 to the United Kingdom and NHS staff on the frontline, many have been forced to wear makeshift PPE in the absence of supplies from the government.
Care homes and hospices too have been forced to seek PPE supplies from other sources.
Now, with hundreds of NHS staff dead as a result of the virus, staff are demanding a judicial review into the government’s guidance on PPE, saying that government rules have been dictated by supply rather than science.
