The rapper has some words of her own for the PM

Nicki Minaj has wasted no time responding to comments Boris Johnson made during today’s Covid briefing regarding her recently-revealed anti-vax views.

The star took to Twitter to label the Prime Minister’s words a ‘diss’ and fire back with an audio note offering to send him some of her music.

Minaj, 38, came under fire earlier this week when she shared a tweet saying that she wouldn’t be attending the Met Gala because it required attendees to be vaccinated and the vaccine had apparently caused her cousin to become impotent after his testicles had swollen.

When quizzed about her comments during today’s winter Covid briefing, England’s Chief Medical Officer, Chris Whitty, said she “should be ashamed”.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Johnson added: “I’m not as familiar on the works of Nicki Minaj as I probably should be but I am familiar with Nikki Kanani, superstar GP of Bexley, who has appeared many times before you who will tell you vaccines are wonderful and everybody should get them.

“That’s why I prefer to listen to Nikki Kanani,” he concluded.

Not long after, Minaj started tweeting, sharing a clip of the moment with the caption: “I love him even tho I guess this was a diss? The accent ugh!”

She also posted an audio note showing off her best British accent and offering to send the PM some of her work to help familiarise him with her music.

Take a listen to the full clip below and witness the birth of 2021’s latest Twitter beef.
