The COVID-19 outbreak has hit some harder than others
We are all at risk as the COVID-19 outbreak grows wider every day. The elderly among us and those with underlying respiratory health issues are at particular risk, as are those currently receiving treatment for illnesses.
Jane is one such woman. She has stage four cancer and for her, COVID-19 is an even bigger threat than it is for most others. Her immune system is weak because of the effects of chemotherapy, and due to people hoarding hand sanitiser, she has been forced to make her own in a bid to protect herself.
We spoke to Jane about the threat COVID-19 and her greatest concern at this time: death.
“I fought cancer so hard for this last year, and then this pandemic happens. I can’t buy hand sanitiser. I don’t want to die.”
