US filmmaker believes he has detected Q’s true identity
The documentary filmmaker, Cullen Hoback, is convinced that he has discovered the real identity of QAnon’s secret leader, “Q”.
The administrator of the 8kun image board site where “Q” posts, Ron Watkins, slipped up during an interview with Hoback, who is well-known for the HBO mini series Q: Into the Storm.
During the interview, Watkins admitted that he shared claims surrounding the voter fraud after the former US president Donald Trump lost the election in November last year. However, Watkins slipped up momentarily, which has led the filmmaker to believe that Q and Watkins are potentially indistinguishable.
Watkins said in the interview: “It was basically three years of intelligence training, teaching normies how to do intelligence work. It was basically what I was doing anonymously before, but never as Q.”
The administrator the 8kun site then appeared to backtrack and burst into laughter, before clarifying: “Never as Q. I promise. I am not Q.”
“Ron had slipped up,” the filmmaker said in the video.
Hoback added: “He knew it, and I knew it, and after three tireless years of cat and mouse – well.”
It has speculated for some time by those researching the QAnon conspiracy theory that Watkins, the administrator of the site, could be secretly operating as “Q”. However, his true identity remains a mystery as nothing has yet been confirmed.
Speaking with the CNN‘s Anderson Cooper, Hoback said: “There was a lot of ‘lore’ around [Watkins] in QAnon, and he’s also one of the admins of the site where Q posts. I thought that it was possible that he would know more about Q than anyone else.”
“I had always been waiting for that moment when Ron slipped up,” Hoback added.
