TV viewers on Sunday night got a break from the Olympic Games to take in some real sport in the form of Robot Wars.
Well, maybe not quite, but the BBC show continued its triumphant return with an achievement for the ages.
The latest contender to make a name for itself was Apollo, with the Welsh-built robot flipping not one, not two, but three house robots.

It has been tough to ignore Robot Wars ever since it returned to our screens, and even a flurry of Olympic golds from Team GB couldn’t tear people away from the metallic mayhem.
And after the excitement of week one, we’ve also had the entrance of Foxic to contend with (even if it might not have been the best around).
We’re excited to see what the show does for its next trick. Whatever it does, Robot Wars has already won us over, just like it did the first time around.
