It’s looking increasingly like the beginning of the end for AC/DC.
The legendary rock ‘n’ roll band have just rescheduled a host of dates on their US tour, after a doctor’s warning singer Brian Johnson risks ‘total hearing loss’ if the shows go ahead.
A statement on the band’s website said a guest vocalist will likely replace the frontman for the amended run later this year.
AC/DC’s upcoming European tour, which is supposed to begin in Lisbon on May 7 and reach London by the summer, has not yet been moved, but it seems likely that the band will announce a guest vocalist for that too.
The last few years have not been good for AC/DC. In September 2014 their founding member Malcolm Young left the band after confirming he had dementia, and this was followed by drummer Phil Rudd’s exit in 2015.
Rudd was charged and later convicted of making threats to kill a former employee.
