Goodnight and Aha!!
Alan Partridge walked out on stage with Coldplay at the weekend wearing white trousers and a red satin jacket with the words ‘Snow Patrol’ on the back.
The fictional North Norfolk radio presenter was brought on stage by Chris Martin during one of the band’s five sold-out shows.
He sang Kate Bush’s recent chart re-entry “Running Up That Hill” as well as “Knowing Me” by Abba in a nod to his prized BBC show and Christmas spin-off, “Knowing Me Knowing Yule.”
Addressing the stadium crowd, he said: “Running up hills, up roads – it’s all cardiovascular. Not sure about running up buildings, unless you’re Spider-Man – excellent humour!
“Chris, what do you think the song’s about, because it can’t just be about running?” he asked.
He ended his Wembley performance shouting: “Make sure you wear the correct footwear, goodnight and aha!”

Coldplay played five sold-out shows at Wembley as part of their Music of the Spheres tour.
The shows were given a five-star review by the Guardian’s Alexis Petridis, who described the show as a “barrage of hits and eye-popping spectacle”.
