Alan Partridge is returning to our screens next month – 5 reasons on why to tune in

It will soon be totally acceptable to shout ‘SMELL MY CHEESE!’ in public again, thanks to the return of Alan Partridge.

Our favourite Norwich radio DJ is making a comeback to our screens with Mid Morning Matters, previously aired online.

Partridge, (Steve Coogan) and Sidekick Steve will be on Sky Atlantic from February, 16.

If you’re new to Alan’s Mid Morning Matters escapades, here are a few reasons why you definitely should make time for them.

Alan’s radio shows relies on guests but he doesn’t really like other people and accuses them of all kinds of terrible misdemeanours, like being a thief or a paedophile, when they’re definitely not.

He never holds back: “I realised I had nothing to worry about. The man was a perfect gentleman. But if you told me 25 years ago that I would be talking about rigid inflatable hulls with Dale Winton I would probably have spat at you.”

Alan is a man of hidden talents. In between songs on the radio, he’ll showcase how to peel an orange in one go or preach about the history of tea, which a lot of the time, he complains ‘tastes like chicken’.

For more Partridge-isms like this:

“I try to maintain a healthy anus, and largely successfully. Of course there’s always the odd mishap, by the law of averages. You can’t get it right every time.”

“Say what you will about Billie Piper, but she’s the most popular prostitute on ITV.”

It will make you want to go to Norwich. Alan often shows us the joys of Norfolk’s country town, he knows it like the ‘back of his fine hand’ after spending the best part of his life there. Whether it’s the ski slope, the market or the city’s car dealerships, Alan has helped put Norwich on the map.
