Like it or not, the chances are you’re going to be hearing quite a lot about ITV2’s Love Island in the weeks to come.
If you were one of many that wondered why the fuck ‘Blazin’ Squad‘ was trending on Twitter on Monday and Tuesday night, you’ve probably already heard plenty about it.
The idea behind the show is simple enough: Take a group of single attention-seeking girls and a group of equally as attention-seeking boys, stick them in a Spanish villa together and wait for them to end up having sex and arguing with each other. Kind of like Lord of the Flies but with more sex and less killing people and worshipping of a pig heads.
Unfortunately, it seems not all of the boys on the new series were *completely* free and single. Over the last 24 hours, a text from a girl called Amy has clocked up the retweets after she explained that she had been texting one of the contestants when he explained he was going on holiday…Â only to make an appearance on the show.

No, a few texts don’t mean the pair were destined for marriage, and yes, *technically* he wasn’t lying about going on holiday, but plenty of those replying to the tweet seem sympathetic with Amy.  Some of those that have replied to the tweet have demanded that she be added to the show just to confront the as of yet unnamed boy.
However, one rather cynical viewer suggested this was all a set up – and that the show’s creators already had her lined up to make an appearance.
If you’re interested enough, keep an eye out.
