The Hocus Pocus star makes a good point…
Bette Midler has fired back at the Supreme Court‘s recent decision to ban abortions in many US states by suggesting they should also ban Viagra while they’re at it, as having a “limp dick” is also “God’s will”.
The popular actor and singer has been one of the many media stars to share their disdain for the court’s controversial decision to overturn Roe v Wade – a piece of legislation that protects a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy. As a result of this reversal, millions of women across the United States are now banned from seeking out or having an abortion.
However, Midler, 76, has highlighted the apparent hypocrisy surrounding this extreme Supreme Court ruling by arguing that if they’re determined to follow God’s will, then perhaps they might also want to look at all of the other areas it encompasses.

Taking to Twitter – a space Midler has long used to express her opinions on such topics – the star said: “Time to ban Viagra. Because if pregnancy is “God’s Will”, then so is your limp dick.”
The tweet instantly struck a chord with her followers and has since clocked up more than 35K retweets and 244K likes. Meanwhile in the comments section, many are seemingly in agreement with Midler regarding this bold idea.
“Been saying this for years” said one user.
“Sounds like #fairplay to me!!” offered a second.
“The logic is sound”, suggested a third.
However this is Twitter we’re talking about and, rather unsurprisingly, not everyone backed what she was saying.
“I agree with you on the sentiment of your words. But I must remind everyone that Viagra is a legitimate vital medication ensuring survival for many ppl suffering heart & respiratory issues,” said one user.
This is far from the first time Midler has used her platform to express views on this topic. Shortly after the Roe V Wade decision was announced on June 24, the Hocus Pocus star tweeted her thoughts, saying “How dare they? and urging America to wake up.
They did it. THEY DID IT TO US! #SCOTUS has overturned #RoevWade, enshrined in the Constitution as settled law for over 50 years. How dare they? This #SCOTUS is absolutely tone-deaf to the will and even the actual needs of the American people. #WakeUpAmerica

Midler was in the news again earlier this week when audiences got their first glimpse at the return of the Sanderson Sisters in the long-awaited sequel to 1993’s nostalgic kids Halloween classic Hocus Pocus, in which she starred alongside Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.
