Man’s not hot! It’s true, especially at this time of year.
Getting into the festive spirit, Big Shaq has released a Christmas version of his viral hit “Man’s Not Hot” – he’s even switched up his jacket to celebrate the holiday season.
As one of the year’s most celebrated viral success stories, it was only right that he and the team at Island Records put out a version of “Man’s Not Hot” for Christmas because none of us, especially in the UK, should be feeling hot right now. In fact the track should be called “Man’s DEFINITELY Not Hot! It’s winter in England you idiots”.
Introducing a version that features some very festive jingle bells and what can only be described as some dramatic moments of song provided by a choir, Big Shaq has delivered a record that can sit on any Christmas playlist alongside the greats, such as Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas”.
Now in the running for Christmas number one, he will fight it out with Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé (“Perfect”), Choirs With Purpose (“We All Stand Together”), Wham! and George Michael (“Last Christmas”) and of course the X Factor winner. Take a look at what he had to say to Ed Sheeran about the battle for the top spot at this year’s Jingle Bell Ball:
What a year it’s been for Big Shaq. Peaking at number one on Spotify’s Viral Charts worldwide including UK, US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Sweden and 25 other territories, it’s also already been Shazamed over 700,000 times.
He’s even garnered support from the likes of Drake, Usain Bolt, DJ Khaled, Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher, Danny Welbeck, Dua Lipa, Jeremy Corbyn, Nicole Scherzinger and his lyrics were even mentioned in the House of Commons last week!
