If you are lucky enough to have tickets for Blur at Barrowlands in Glasgow tonight, or Blackpool tomorrow, or Llandudno on Thursday, you could get your mitts on an exclusive comic book.
The 24-page graphic novel, called Travel To Hong Kong With Blur, is described as a “visual accompaniment” to their latest album The Magic Whip, released earlier this year.
The story sees the band on a futuristic adventure in Hong Kong, known as a Manhua.
Fans hoping to locate the comic in the cities where Blur are playing are urged to follow clues posted on the band’s Twitter account.

The artist who created the book is Hong Kong based animator Kongkee, who said when he first heard the band’s latest album, The Magic Whip: “It was pure joy, partly because it is so inspired by Hong Kong itself allowing us to see what Hong Kong is like in other people’s eyes.”
Kongkee continued: “Some of the elements in the songs, might also be the impression of Hong Kong to many others, given by Bruce Lee, given by 007, by Susie Wang.
“It’s magical how their music brought me many vivid visions and I just let them slip through my pens.”
Fans can also buy a copy of Travel to Hong Kong with Blur at the band’s webstore at www.blur.co.uk from Friday, June 12.
