A ‘tragic tale of heroism’ is available to watch on the popular streaming service
At the end of last year, Netflix added a new original series that viewers hailed to be a must-watch.
This bone-chilling series isn’t for the faint-hearted, but it’s based on a true story and has left viewers stunned.
The full title of the series is The Railway Men – The Untold Story Of Bophal 1984.
It follows story of brave railway workers who risk their own lives to help others after a deadly gas leak in the city.
Here’s a taste of what it has to offer…
New Netflix disaster series has shades of Chernobyl
An official synopsis for the series reads:
“After a deadly gas leaks from a factory in Bhopal, brave railway workers risk their lives to save others in the face of an unspeakable disaster.”
It’s a mini series containing four episodes – all four of which are available to watch right now.
Episode one begins with the hours that lead up to the disaster that killed 70 times more people than the Chernobyl disaster.

Early reviews for new Netflix series largely positive

But as always, the best thing to do is to give it a go and decide for yourself!
