The frontwoman got ‘carried away’, the band said
Cover band Brass Against has apologised after frontwoman Sophia Urista urinated on a fan’s face in the middle of a show.
The band known for covering the likes of Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, and Tool, were performing at Rockville Festival in Daytona, Florida on Thursday night when Urista decided to take a toilet break — only she did so onstage… and on a man’s face.
Tweeting after the show, the band apologised for the incident insisting Urista simply got carried away and that “it’s not something you’ll see again at our show”.
We had a great time last night at Welcome to Rockville. Sophia got carried away. That's not something the rest of us expected, and it's not something you'll see again at our shows. Thanks for bringing it last night, Daytona.

Urista was previously a contestant on America’s version of The Voice in 2016 and has headed up the band for several years.
The Independent reports that the singer was heard telling the crowd that she needed to pee before spotting a man with a can on his head and asking him to come forward: “Get my man with the can on his head ready, ’cause we’re going to bring him onstage and imma a p*** in this motherf***er’s mouth’.
“I gotta pee and I can’t make it to the bathroom, so we might as well make a show out of it.”
WARNING: images may cause offensive – and no, we’re not going to show the uncensored footage.
Many fans at the show and online were left shocked by the incident, labelling the act “disgusting” and “inappropriate”. Concerns around consent were also raised.
The band clarified that the man was invited on stage and willingly sat down while Urista, you know, did her thing.
I know it’s been over two year since I’ve been to a live metal concert, but did this start becoming acceptable? The times have changed… I think I’ll stay home permanently.

Other fans, possibly more acclimated to the often raucous culture of live shows, didn’t seem too bothered by the act, calling it either par for the course or “cool”.
One person responded directly to the band’s tweet saying, “she did nothing wrong it was metal as f***!”.
Another even managed to get a video with the man in question before the “golden shower”.

While it’s certainly not the grossest thing that’s ever happened at a rock show, let alone a festival, it’s understandable that many were left feeling fairly uncomfortable about the whole thing.
Just goes to show, when it comes to being a rockstar, you really can take the utter p*ss.
