Brendan Fraser joins Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon

The entire world loves to see it

The world loves Brendan Fraser, and though he is not as present as he once a decade ago, Fraser remains one of the biggest stars of some of our favourite films. Now, the industry is starting to pick the actor back up, with his latest stint in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon.

Fraser has starred in numerous iconic films throughout his tenure, most notably the Mummy series, numerous kid flicks, and not to mention most people’s sexual awakening in George of the Jungle.

Apple TV+ movie Killers Of The Flower Moon, which is based on a novel by the same name, is set in 1920s Oklahoma. The show will examine the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation—a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the Reign of Terror.

Fraser will play a lawyer WS Hamilton alongside Oscar winners Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio. Eric Roth, best known for Forrest Gump, has scripted the film, while Scorsese is producing the film for Apple Studios and Imperative Entertainment.

In other film news, ScreenRant reports that Emma Stone is considering a lawsuit for the release of Cruella. At the same time, Scarlett Johansson had already begun her assault on Disney early last week.

Johansson’s lawyer John Berlinski said:

It’s no secret that Disney is releasing films like Black Widow directly onto Disney+ to increase subscribers and thereby boost the company’s stock price – and that it’s hiding behind Covid-19 as a pretext to do so.

But ignoring the contracts of the artists responsible for the success of its films in furtherance of this short-sighted strategy violates their rights and we look forward to proving as much in court.
