Brooklyn Nine-Nine has won numerous awards in recent years
After the internet throwing lefts and rights over Netflix only supplying the first four seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine in the UK, the international streaming phenomenon has brought the newest season of the sitcom, directed by Michael Schur and Dan Goor online.
Netflix announced their plan to air the 5th season in mid-January of this year and fans of the show immediately began flooding the web with positive comments and memes to rejoice at the news. This came just after the showing of the shows starting an episode of the 6th season in the US, which smashed its highest viewing rate at the time.
Since 2013, the show has been nominated and winning multiple awards, including two Golden Globe’s in 2014, with Andy Samberg winning ‘best performer by an actor in a television series’ and ‘best television series – comedy or musical’, all after the showing of just its 2nd series.
Another big year for the show was 2018 by Stephanie Beatriz, who plays cop badass Rosa Diaz, winning ‘best supporting actress’, and the sitcom winning GLADD’s ‘outstanding comedy series’ award.
