We’re finally getting some details…
As the final season of Game of Thrones draws near, fans are starting to wonder what will fill the void once it’s gone. There are several prequels in the pipeline, and today some casting details have been revealed about the first.
E! News has confirmed that Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp and Toby Regbo will join Watts and Josh Whitehouse in the Game of Thrones prequel pilot.
Ivanno Jeremiah featured in Black Mirror episode ‘Shut Up And Dance’, Henley played Lucy Pevensie in the film adaptations of C.S Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia. Other cast members have won success on the stage, with Alex Sharp starring in the lead role in the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.
Regbo and Bower have both featured in the Fantastic Beasts series. It’s already known that Naomi Watts has been cast in the lead role of the series. Still, none of the character details have been revealed.
S.J. Clarkson, who has directed episodes of Jessica Jones, Bates Motel and Dexter, has also joined the project as pilot director and executive producer.
Not much is known about the series yet and even its title hasn’t been confirmed. HBO has confirmed that the series “chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour.
“Only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”
