Dale Winton has tragically passed away at the age of 62. The British TV presenter was best known as the host of hit 90s TV show Supermarket Sweep.
The news of Winton’s tragic passing was confirmed by his agent Jan Kennedy in a press release tonight.
“While we know many will share this terrible loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this time of grief,” she said.
His death was greeted with understandably devastation by fans and fellow celebrities, many of whom took to social media to pay their respects for a man who brightened up our TV screens with his brand of flirty, funny and charming wit.
Among those to pay their respects were fellow TV presenter Davina McCall, comedian Jack Whitehall and musician Graham Coxon.

What a shame about Dale Winton! I sang a Bert Jansch song while sitting next to him on a radio show once. He struck me as being a really lovely man. Bye, Dale and thank you for your encouraging words. X
