Coleen Rooney has reportedly signed up to take part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! For a record-breaking fee.
The 38-year-old’s wage for appearing on the show is thought to be in excess of Nigel Farage’s £1.5 million fee last year.
Viewers will be hoping the mother-of-four may shed more light on her fallout with Rebekah Vardy.
The dispute, dubbed Wagatha Christie, culminated in a 2022 libel case and was subsequently made into a TV drama and stage adaptation.
The case was thrust back into the limelight this week when Mrs Vardy was ordered to pay Mrs Rooney a further £100,000 on Wednesday.
According to The Sun, ITV bosses are hoping Rooney will also share details about her marriage to ex-Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
A source told the newspaper: “I’m A Celeb bosses have pulled off a huge coup getting Coleen for the jungle this year and the team are thrilled to have her on board.
“She’s always been a massive fan of the show and loves watching it with her boys. ITV are over the moon that the stars have aligned this year and she can fit it in. The series is set to be one of the best yet.
“Coleen has a huge fanbase and she won massive plaudits for her classy handling of the Wagatha Christie case.
“She’s excited to show fans a different side to her and prove she can survive without her creature comforts.”
Reports suggest Rooney will head to Australia next month to join the ITV reality series which is hosted by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
However, an ITV spokesperson was quick to shut down the rumours saying: “Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! are just speculation.”
