Coronation Street’s Steve McDonald became a hero this week when he saved his ex-wife Michelle from her evil stalker.
The dramatic soap scenes on Monday night showed Steve, played by Simon Greyson, rushing to help Michelle and his new love Leanne Battersby get away from Michelle’s stalker Will Chatterton.
Things turned dark after Michelle and Leanne finally unmasked Will as the creepy stalker – with Will getting violent and shoving Leanne down the stairs at his home, before fighting with Michelle.
But while Steve has earned plenty of praise for her heroics, some fans of the soap were left more than a little confused after noticing a glaring error.
Steve seemed to be surprised to see Leanne lying injured at the bottom of the stairs as he tried to get Michelle out of the building – even though he would have had to step over her to get to his ex-wife.
And how did Steve get upstairs without noticing Leanne on way up? 🤔

Steve would have had to have walked past Leanne lying on the stairs when going to Michelle's aid. Continuity errors 🙂 #Corrie

The drama all started after Michelle roped in Leanne and Steve to help find evidence about what Will had done.
She managed to steal Will’s keys, before handing them over to Steve – who made a copy to get into his house.
Michelle was keeping Will distracted out in the town as Steve and Leanne searched his house to find incriminating evidence.
Things quickly took a turn, though, when a neighbour rang Will to tell him they had heard some odd noises coming from his house.
He quickly rushed over – before realising Michelle had something to do with the intruders inside his home.
He attacked her and shoved Leanne down the stairs, before Steve came to the rescue and punched him – before ringing the police.
