Never say never again.
With news that the next Bond film will be released in US cinemas on November 8, 2019, with a “traditional earlier release” in the UK, plenty of publications announced that Daniel Craig was returning to Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
While Bond will definitely have his licence to kill renewed for the big screen, Craig has stated that ‘no decision’ has been made if he’ll return to the franchise.
Since picking up the famous Walther PPK in Casino Royale, Craig’s take on 007 has proven to be incredibly popular with audiences around the world. With him in the lead, Skyfall became the first billion dollar Bond film after it grossed $1,110,526,98 in global box-office takings.
At the end of Spectre, we saw Bond picking up his classic Aston Martin from Q driving off with his latest love interest, Madeleine Swann.
While Craig has been quoted as saying that he would rather “slash my wrists” than return as Bond, various tabloid reports have said that he’s open to the idea of playing the world’s most beloved spy again.
Ina n interview with Morning MAGIC, the star of Logan Lucky and Layer Cake finally addressed those rumours.
“No decision has been made at the moment, there’s a lot of noise out there and nothing official has been confirmed and I’m not, like, holding out for more money or doing anything like that. It’s just all very personal decisions to be made at the moment. I know they’re desperate to get going and I would, in theory, love to do it, but there is no decision just yet,” he explained.
We’re not exactly left shaken and stirred by this latest development, but we would be delighted to see Craig return to MI6.
