If you thought Dr Dre couldn’t be more of a legend, think again.
He’s just cranked it up to level 11 with this generous gesture.
The 50-year-old rapper, who is dropping his new album Compton: A Soundtrack on August 6, has made a brilliant promise to the people of his home town.
Dre, who is releasing the record alongside the new NWA film Straight Outta Compton, will give away all his royalties from the album to fund a performance arts centre in Compton.
So when you’re snapping up the new LP, which features the likes of Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg, just think – you could be helping fund the next Dr Dre.
.@DrDre will donate his artist royalties from the sale of #Compton to help fund a new performing arts facility in Compton, CA. Out tonight!
