What the hell was going on?
Fans of EastEnders have been left shocked and confused by last night’s episode, with a number of viewers questioning whether they’d ‘missed an episode’.
So, just to recap what went on, Melanie Owen met up with Ciara Maguire – who we last saw lurking on a ferry – to discuss their ‘deal’ involving Mel’s son Hunter’s whereabouts.
Somehow Ciara had teleported from France to England, which was annoying in itself, but that wasn’t even half of it.
When Ben’s bag was searched at customs it was revealed the New Year’s heist money had been replaced by copies of the Walford Gazette. A twist and a half.
On social media, fans jumped to the conclusion that Ciara had made the swap, but the decision not to air the scene itself led to viewers questioning if an episode had been ‘skipped’. Others were annoyed that such an integral moment had been ‘fast-forwarded’.
