Most people look like normal, ordinary, boring people. Some people, however, don’t.
Some people look a bit like other people, other famous people. Then there’s a few people – a precious few – that look a whole lot like famous people.
This is more than your cousin Phil who looks a bit like Dirty Den from EastEnders or the woman down the street who you swore was one of the people off Gogglebox but actually wasn’t one of the people off Gogglebox.
This is Kari Lewis, a woman from Indiana, USA, and she looks almost exactly like Emma Watson. No, really. Look:
Don’t let the Hogwarts uniform fool you – that’s not Emma Watson. That is, as we said, Kari Lewis, who is not Emma Watson.
Kari is a video rental store employee, but had never made the connection with herself and the Harry Potter actress until a couple of girls told her that she looked like Hermione.
Speaking to BuzzFeed, Kari said: “I had no idea who Hermione was, nor have I ever heard of that name, at the time since this was when the first Harry Potter film was released. So, my mom and I had to look it up and find out who she was.
“If it wasn’t for those two young girls, I probably wouldn’t have known about Harry Potter until a bit later.”
She’s since gone on to cosplay as Hermione at conventions, and actually relates to the character a great deal. “I’ve always loved reading books since I first learned how to read,” she said. “So I think it was inevitable for me to like Harry Potter so much once I started reading it.
“I think it’s super cool because I’ve always related to Hermione in the books (smart, bossy, avid reader, etc). So, it makes cosplaying as Hermione at conventions a thousand times better!”
