Say it isn’t so.
If you’re at all familiar with Emmerdale, you’ll know that there are a few characters who are pretty much iconic when it comes to the soap.
Or, basically, entire families.
In this case, it’s the Dingles. They’ve been around since the beginning of time causing havoc, getting on people’s nerves, and just being a bit of craic, really.
The Dingles have also had their heartfelt moments too though – like when Chas was grieving her dad, when Aaron struggled with self harm, and when Cain was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.
The latest heartfelt and generally devastating moment to come out of the Dingle family happened during last night’s episode when Lisa decided to give it all up and leave the village.
Lisa wasn’t just a Dingle either, like – she was a staple of the community, she was important, she was known.
And now she’s gone – mainly due to her angina but also because of the intense stress she was under after reporting another family member to the police.
Lisa told daughter Bella that she was going to “go away” for a bit.
Then she got in a taxi, looked a bit sad, and left.
It was all very emotional.
Viewers thought so too and they took to to Twitter to express their frustrations and sadness that Lisa had not been treated better by her family.
I feel a bit sorry for Lisa, every1 has turned against her even tho she nearly died…. #Emmerdale

Is anyone else on Lisa’s side here. After all Zack has done, I’d kick the bastard out #emmerdale
