By now, we can all pretty much agree that – like it or not – there’s no getting away from Love Island news this summer.
The climax to Tuesday’s show saw the contestants hit with the news that one of them would be departing. After it became clear that Tyla and Johnny had received the fewest public votes, it was then revealed that the pair would have to decide which of them left. In the end it was Jonny, one of this year’s original islanders, who decided to make his exit.
With viewers digesting news of Johnny’s departure, the show ended with the announcement that two new boys would be added to the villa. The public were presented with four options, two of which were entirely new contestants; the others more familiar faces… ‘Muggy’ Mike Thalassitis and Sam Gowland.
Clearly, the chance of a second stint on the show wasn’t an opportunity offered to all of the contestants to have been dumped off this year’s show, as this tweet from Harley Judge makes clear.
As the emojis show, Harley didn’t appear to take the news too badly.
The 22-year-old, the first contestant to leave Love Island 2017, has been ridiculed recently for an Instagram post in which he made clear how grateful he was for the opportunity to appear on the show.
‘Never forget your day ones,’ the post read. ‘I stay humble with it all. 5 weeks ago I was working on a building site so I will never change. #stayhumble.’
With that still fresh in people’s minds, you can probably guess how many replied to his tweet…
